Crystal completedof Science (BSc), a Bachelor of Nursing (BN), and aof Nursing from Memorial University (MUN). She is currently completing a doctoral degree in nursing at MUN under the supervision of Dr. Julia Lukewich, a leader in primary care nursing research. Crystal’s doctoral research is focused oncontributions to virtual care deliverycare settings. Crystal has clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in primary care/community health settings in Labrador, Nunavut, and Northwest Territories delivering healthcare services to Indigenous populations. As well, she is the Public Relations Representative with the Canadian Family Practice Nurses Association(CFPNA)., her doctoral research will contribute toadvancements in the integration and optimization of primary care nursesvirtual models of care. She has received research funding from Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) SUPPORT, and various awards from the College of Registered Nurses of NL and MUN Faculty of Nursing.
